How to apply
Please read the program description and then fill out the application form. After the application deadline, the schools will be decided by lot. The participating schools will be published on the Museum website in the "Tour Schedule And Dates" section.
What does the "on.tour—the Jewish Museum Berlin tours Schools" program include?
The workshop is led by guides with both thematic and didactic training in liaison with the class's subject teacher. It is suitable for pupils from grade 9 upwards who have ideally already covered German-Jewish history in their lessons.
Three Museum guides will supervise the mobile exhibition "Discover Jewish Museum Berlin" which will be held in the schoolyard if the weather allows and inside the school if not. We drive the on.tour minibus right into the schoolyard and set up the exhibiting space in front of it, for which we require an area of approx. 6 x 9 meters in total. Should the exhibition be set up inside the school building, the space required without the vehicle is 6 x 6 meters.
The workshop can be held in two classes of up to 30 pupils per school. Please select suitable classes for the first and second and for the fifth and sixth lessons and name a coordinator for us to contact.
We will supply all the necessary materials.
