Each summer, the Jewish Museum Berlin organizes a varied program of events held over several months in the extensive museum garden. The Cultural Summer Program includes the popular Sunday matinée series "Jazz in the Garden" - with picnic basket, deck chair, and a program for the whole family. Moreover, new insights into the museum can be gained at the big summer party with museum bingo, instrument building, tours, and summer concerts.

This year’s Cultural Summer Program is all about "Israelis in Berlin." There are currently several thousand people with an Israeli passport living in Berlin. Many of them are part of a very vivid scene spanning all cultural sectors. They start up magazines, open restaurants, draw comics, write books, establish dance studios, run clubs ... and they make music!

In both a musical and a literary series of events - "Jazz in the Garden" and "Words beneath the Trees" - the Jewish Museum Berlin will present the lively Israeli cultural scene in Berlin from June to September, which will find its way onto the front pages in the years to come.

Culinary accompaniment to the summer program is provided by the museum café "Schmus" with fresh, light dishes.

A picnic basket is on offer especially for the jazz matinées, which makes the concert experience in the garden a really special one. The picnic baskets with bagels, salads, and muffins are available in different combinations.

All events in the series "Words beneath the Trees" and "Jazz in the Garden" will be held in the Museum Garden (in bad weather in the Glass Courtyard). Admission is free.
