“Lindenstraße,” the address of our museum, is also the title of a soap opera which has established its place in Germany’s everyday culture.

In his Lindenstaße, however, Jan Smejkal transforms the comments which museum visitors make every day into a work of art. On one wall, the comments - removed from their original contexts - are put into a new rhythmical order. A second wall contains colorfully painted text boards full of questions. Seemingly countless interrelations between the texts result in a variety of interpretations.
