The photographic exhibition Poyln: An Eradicated Jewish World was on display at the Jewish Museum Berlin from February 2 to April 7, 2002.

Developed by the Aufbau Publishing Company, Berlin, the exhibition presented photographs by the Polish photographer and poet, Alter Kacyzne, who was commissioned by the New York-based Yiddish newspaper Forverts in the 1920s to document life in the Polish shtetls. These are pictures of a lost home, later destroyed once and for all by the National Socialists. The exhibition was developed in cooperation with the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research in New York.
