House Rules of the Jewish Museum Berlin

We would like to make your visit as pleasant and safe as possible. For this reason, we would ask you to comply with the following house rules. By entering our buildings, you consent to these rules. They may be supplemented or changed for a limited time; any additions or changes will be communicated to you separately.
Security screening at the entrance is mandatory. Coats, umbrellas, large bags, and backpacks must be left at the cloak room. You are not permitted to display antisemitic, racist, or unconstitutional messages or symbols.
Out of consideration for others, please do not make noise or talk on the phone in the exhibition rooms.
Eating and drinking are not allowed in the exhibition rooms. There is a café in the museum where you are a welcome guest.
Please treat all museum installations with care. Touching original, openly displayed exhibition objects such as paintings and sculptures is not permitted. Compliance with this rule will keep you from being held liable for any possible damage.

You may take photographs or videos for private purposes in the museum, but you are not permitted to use flash units, tripods, or selfie sticks. You are responsible for respecting the copyrights and personality rights of others. If you wish to use the images commercially, you must first obtain written permission from the museum.
Animals are not allowed on the museum premises, with the exception of guide and assistance dogs. Smoking – including the use of e-cigarettes – is prohibited in all of our buildings.
Please follow the instructions of museum staff. Visitors who disobey staff instructions may be expelled from the museum and banned from its premises.
