School Children Paint their Dreams

Unplanned and by coincidence, next to the Freud exhibition by Robert Longo, pictures by school children offered a commentary on Sigmund Freud’s interpretation of dreams. Their paintings were on display from June 1 to August 18.

In cooperation with the Jugend Kunst- und Kulturzentrum Schlesische 27, the Jewish Museum Berlin offered a five-day workshop for children and young people in the Easter vacation. It was concerned with personal dream worlds and translating them into pictures. The dreams painted in the course of the workshop were shown on 22 large-format pictures and one joint painting. The painters were 10 to 14 years old.
