Religion and feminism may sound like a contradiction in terms. Nevertheless, religiously grounded approaches that aim to reread religious texts from a feminist perspective are currently taking shape. What are the lines of conflict between traditional readings and these new interpretations, and how do the religious communities perceive such innovations?
