Script Pictures

Works by Daniel Ben-Hur, Max Wechsler, Oliver Siebeck and Ruth Liberman

The exhibition displays works by various artists who look into the phenomenon of script: Daniel Ben-Hur draws the characters of the Hebrew alphabet blindfolded as a meditation exercise. Max Wechsler’s works are based on script fragments which he copies repeatedly and assembles on top of one another to produce a differentiated surface structure. Oliver Siebeck’s creations consist of sheets of paper typewritten with important dates in Spinoza’s life. Ruth Liberman shows enlarged photographs of “shot words.”
