Hanukkah for the Whole Family
Karaoke with Glückel and a concert by Shtetl Berlin—with special guest Josh Dolgin aka Socalled!
The lighting of the menorah candles and the Hanukkah concert in the Glass Courtyard have become a lovely tradition for families over recent years. While the distressing situation in Israel and the Middle East continues to weigh heavily on us here at the JMB, we nevertheless want to come together, especially now, to celebrate Hanukkah and shine a light into the darkness.
To celebrate the eight days of Hanukkah, the kosher museum monster Glückel in the Bowl and her fuzzy friends invite the whole family to take part in Hanukkah karaoke.

This year's musical journey around the world will be accompanied by musicians Yael Gat on vocals and trumpet and Doron Furman on the oud. It’s easy to sing along to the Hanukkah songs from different countries, even if you’re not familiar with them: In typical karaoke style, the lyrics will appear on a monitor.
We will then light the Hanukkah candles and enjoy a celebratory concert by the international musicians from the Shtetl Berlin festival. This year’s special guest is Canadian musician Josh Dolgin aka Socalled!
