An Inclusive Tour (in German – plain language)

The Jewish Museum Berlin opened in 2001.
It is one of Europe’s largest Jewish museums.
In our exhibition, we tell the history of German Jews and show how they live today.
We will guide you through the exhibition and show you the museum.

Where

This is what happens on the tours:

  1. You’ll receive a warm welcome.
  2. We’ll look at the building.
  3. We’ll look at a Torah. A Torah is a scroll. These scrolls contain texts that are important to Jews.
  4. We’ll take a break.
  5. We’ll bake some plaited yeast bread. This is called Challah. Challah is a bread for Jewish holy days.
  6. We’ll say goodbye.

    Please note This tour is an inclusive offer for adults and school classes in grades 7 to 13 (ages 13 to 19). The tour is for people with the need for calm and plain language. It is aimed at groups with learning, speech or motor and psychosocial impairments.
