Schools and Museums in a Society Shaped by Migration
Reflections on the Conference
This event was moderated by
- Tanja Petersen, Jewish Museum Berlin
- Dr. Anja Durdel, German Children and Youth Foundation, Berlin.
At the end of the conference, participants had the opportunity to meet in a pleasant atmosphere over coffee and bagels and review the two days of work using graphic recordings, objects, and posters from the workshops.
We asked the participants to bring along objects they associated with the central topic of our conference. These objects were exhibited during the reflection phase and prompted discussions about the various working groups.
The two moderators involved the participants in these talks. Important discussions, questions, and concerns were addressed and emphasized once again for the participants to consider in their future work.
One highlight was the finalization of a cooperative agreement between the B. Traven Secondary School and the Jewish Museum Berlin, signed by Arno de Vries, school director, and Cilly Kugelmann, program director of the Jewish Museum Berlin.
